About This Opportunity
We have a fantastic new opportunity to lead our Pricing & Forecasting Team within our Business Transaction Banking team (BTB), a part of the wider Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) business unit.
Reporting to the Managing Director of BTB, you'll be accountable for pricing & forecasting activities across the full suite of BTB products (notably deposits, payments & merchant services). You'll bring together colleagues already performing many of these responsibilities into a single function to create a centre of excellence around our pricing and forecasting methodologies to deliver better outcomes for our customers, our colleagues and broader partners.
The main focus will be working on our key financial metrics across our product set and shaping our pricing & growth strategy working with wider product, finance, treasury, portfolio analytics & coverage colleagues to ensure we meet our commercial goals. Your team will provide:
Strategic & proactive approach to pricing across the BTB portfolio, considering key factors such as continued customer fair value, understanding of our price positioning against competitors, impact on underlying volume and value drivers, etc.
Lead role in developing and in providing rolling updates to commercial revenue forecasts across BTB portfolio working within agreed financial calendar and drawing in SMEs from across wider product teams as appropriate
Enhanced forecasting & value analysis by client, segment & sector based on what we have learned over time
Consistent drive to improve analytics and supporting data sets that underpin effective pricing and forecasting decisions - including increased adoption of proven machine learning to support our recommendations
Assessment on impact of (and realising benefits from) both tactical and critical initiatives that support underlying budget and forecast assumptions
The focus of the role will be helping to manage a portfolio the which currently delivers more than 70% of all BCB income.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead BTB activities around all revenue forecasting across the team. Acting as first point of contact with finance and other key partners in the development of robust and accurate forecasts through multiple financial years
Manage product pricing across BTB to ensure consistency in our pricing inputs / outputs and alignment with commercial plans set out in agreed budgets and forecasts.
Contribute to the future development of the combined BTB proposition for BCB clients in an increasing competitive and innovative marketplace. Key to this will be;
Developing the future strategy for BTB
Building client insight into the BTB Product set to advise and support better management decisions and actions
Agreeing and implementing product and portfolio pricing strategies that complement our wider BTB strategic objectives
Build strong relationships with key and diverse partners (including external suppliers) to manage their multiple needs and to ensure the delivery of customer solutions.
Support management of overall liquidity levels and mix to meet the BCB / CIB balance sheet requirements and optimise Cost of Funds
Drive improvement in the overall pricing experience for customer & colleagues through the development of effective analysis & tools
As a member of the BTB Leadership team, you'll be responsible for upholding the LBG values and champion an innovation-led culture across the wider BTB team.

What You'll Need
Consistent Track Record of Leadership and delivery demonstrating a clear focus on meeting agreed business targets, priorities, and objectives - plus ability to deliver & commercialise investment projects. You'll be an inspiring leader that others will follow, communicating a variety of the more complex issues and able to convey an inspiring vision and purpose. Able to implement and maintain an appropriate organization structure with appropriate use of resources in response to changing demands.
Financial and Non-financial Analysis - the ability to interpret the firm's financial and non-financial information, thereby identifying key issues and putting in place appropriate actions, controls, and measures.
Business strategy and model - Proven ability to shape strategy and continuously improve the business through the generation of new and practical ways of operating to solve problems and gain competitive advantage.
Customer and Specialist Knowledge - An understanding of cash management, payments and merchant services products, services and operational processes and extensive knowledge of the wide variety of products appropriate to businesses.
Risk Management & Control- Able to identify, assess, supervise, control, and mitigate risks across the business and ensure effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business.
Market Knowledge - Full awareness and understanding of the BCB & Group, economic and market environment (Economic, political, domestic, and international environment within which LBG operates) alongside wider financial services industry, its structure, and key areas / risks, including regulatory framework & requirements, legal frameworks, challenges, products, services, and competition.
Influencing, Communication & Collaboration - ability to influence and persuade the BCB and wider Group leadership teams and partners up to and including Group Executive Committee. Strong interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively across different audiences.
