JOB TITLE:Senior Manager Financial Crime Prevention

LOCATION(S):Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Edinburgh, Halifax, Manchester or Leeds

SALARY:From £83,411

HOURS:Full time

WORKING PATTERN:Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

What you'll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of risk specialists responsible for a first line financial crime risk management across our Consumer Relationships and Consumer Lending businesses. You will get to work closely with partners across the Group and external industry bodies to help support and influence development of policy and best practice.

You will work with other senior managers covering our risk specialisms including Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Tax Evasion by conducting risk assessments and leading the design of effective controls.

We work as a high performing team, and you will help colleagues to become rounded risk professionals with depth of technical expertise and great skills to excel in their careers

What you'll need

  • Can you work in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging environment demonstrating resilience and effective delivery
  • Experience in the design and implementation of a compliance programme while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams and ability to work effectively with partners across a variety of business functions?
  • Strong experience and technical knowledge in an Economic Crime Prevention role
  • Proven ability to manage teams and get the best out of colleagues through effective coaching
  • A track record in coordinating work in order to achieve expectations and timelines
  • You will need to have a passion for easily adapting and changing ways of working to keep our impact fresh and new.

And if you have any experience of this it would be really useful

  • Ability to identify shortcomings, then suggest and implement improvements to existing business practices.
  • Working with data or knowing how to use data to get the best out of our risk management practices.
