What you will do:
• As a Commercial Banking Manager in our Real Estate team here at Metro Bank you will use your Commercial Real Estate lending experience to help grow the bank through the acquisition of new customer, whilst maintain an active portfolio of existing customers
• Our Commercial Banking Managers are proactive within the large commercial real estate market, building on Metro Bank's relationship banking reputation in this key marketplace - Real Estate lending as an asset class makes up an increasingly significant part of our Commercial Balance Sheet
• Deliver on lending and business development objectives, responding to external market challenges, regulatory requirements, and internal risk challenges
• Maintain a strong internal network across the bank to ensure a One Team approach for customers and colleagues and to deliver propositions, structured within risk and appetite
• Work closely with Real Estate colleagues, particularly Relationship Managers and Commercial Analyst, ensuring timely completion of all credit and operational risk tasks
• Manage aspects of risk, including credit, operational and regulatory
• Support career development of colleagues and be a role model for colleagues including Relationship Managers who may be looking to progress into your role in the future

What you will need:
• Experience in origination and portfolio management across commercial Real Estate lending, within a banking or similar financial services environment
• Credit origination and deal structuring skills, with a track record of lending to more complex Real Estate Finance customers, including large residential and mixed residential sub asset classes
• Knowledge of commercial banking, property investment and development lending, with general wider commercial banking and product knowledge
• Experienced in credit writing, financial analysis and report writing for customers with complex requirements
• Excellent communication and customer/client relationship management with the ethos of providing excellent customer service
• Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to interact and influence senior/executive management, internally and externally
