What you will do:

• Owning the commercial and customer outcomes for a wide range of Banking Products

• Making sure risks are managed efficiently and effectively and support the leadership team set the Product and Segment strategy for the Bank

• Leading commercial performance and planning, risk and customer outcome/experience management for your range of Banking Products

• Keeping your 'finger on the pulse' of trends and opportunities, via customer research and market analysis

• Leading a team of Product Managers, supporting colleagues in their day to day activities and nurturing their development

• Creating compelling business cases and utilising strong communication skills to distil complex topics and communicate simple and pragmatic solutions as well as influence senior stakeholders

• Decision making and problem solving, ensuring you take account of different perspectives while assessing and controlling risk

• Delivering propositions, from the initial insight, develop the idea and take through to delivery

• Working with 3rd party analytical tools (e.g. PowerBI) and excel to provide insight

What you will need: 

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• Extensive experience of Product Development and Management in Banking with responsibilities for: commercial management, proposition strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance

• A proven track-record in successfully landing change & delivering quantifiable customer and commercial benefits

• Experience in managing regulatory change, specifically within a Banking environment

• Background in managing people, both directly or as part of virtual teams

• Broad and deep understanding of customer needs, sources of insight and segmentation

• Deep knowledge about the latest developments in the Banking market, customer insights
