This expansion into the commercial arena is where you will play a pivotal role as an Agent / Partner in the North Somerset and Chew Valley agency. You'll join the current partners to co-lead a large, successful insurance business that already has an impressive book of non-farming business; and not only will you be driving growth of its commercial book but you'll also help build on its 'Bespoke' portfolio, aimed at high-net worth and private clients. It's a significant scale-up opportunity, one not to be under-estimated given the agency's proximity to major conurbations in the South-West, such as Bristol, Bath and Taunton.
Your leadership experience and commercial flair
Supported by two experienced partners and a highly engaged team of almost 20 staff, you'll be walking into a fully optimised operation. You'll inherit a significant renewal book of Commercial and Bespoke clients, as well as a healthy pipeline of prospects. This means you'll have a clear line of sight on your immediate priorities, yet the autonomy and accountability to shape the future strategy of such a critical business area, as well as influencing the overall direction of the agency.
From setting strategy to making it happen, you'll lead with passion and professionalism, always from the front and thereby inspiring staff through your strong values, drive and ambition, and dedication to customer care.
Given the agency's high performance and future growth ambitions, a proven track record in Insurance / Broking is advantageous, though not essential. If not already operating as a strategic team leader, you'll be on a fast-track trajectory with leadership in your sights and the following skill set in your armoury:
