  • About the role

    As a Paraplanner you will join a team who play a key role in supporting our Financial Advisers to ensure the provision of high quality advice that adheres to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules.

    Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reports for customers across our product range, including Inheritance Tax Planning. You will assess the recommendations made by Financial Advisers, ensuring alignment with the Financial Advisers to maintain high standards of advice and will be expected to question and challenge where appropriate.

    You will support Financial Advisers on a day to day basis, handling queries and analysing potential sales.

    Additionally, you will provide support to new Financial Advisers helping them to understand processes and best practices required in their role.

    This varied role will require you to develop strong working relationships across Financial Services.

    About you

    You must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and have experience dealing with complex financial information within a regulated environment.

    A high level of attention to detail, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to multitask are essential.

    The role requires someone who is highly organised, analytical and is confident making decisions on their own.

    You'll be able to write clear, concise reports that are easy for customers to understand. Full training on our processes will be given.

  • This role is subject to certification. Certification applies to key roles within the organisation that meet set criteria defined by our regulators.

    Certification is an internal process undertaken in line with regulatory requirements that is to be in place on appointment and annually thereafter.

    This role is subject to certification for NFU Mutual Select Investments Ltd due to being identified as:

    Client Dealing, previously CF30

    A person who performs the client-dealing certification function which involves any of the following activities: advising on investments and performing other functions related to this such as dealing and arranging.

    Function Requiring Qualification

    A person carrying out a role that requires a regulatory qualification as defined within the FCA Training & Competence (T&C) Sourcebook.
