Job summary

An opportunity has arisen within the Physiotherapy department for an Administration Team Leader who is highly motivated and has energy, drive, and commitment to their work. The post will be based in St Woolos Hospital but outreach to County Hospital and other inpatient sites as required.

We require someone who has exceptional organisational and communication skills and a friendly, flexible, and professional approach. The post holder must also have excellent time management skills, be self-motivated and proactive.

The post holder will work closely with the physiotherapy service Performance Manager and take key responsibility for waiting list management for the department. Working knowledge of the Myrddin system is essential but additional training can be given.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of developing and managing efficient and accurate administration processes. Excellent computer skills are vital to this post as it provides administrative support to the Physiotherapy Manager in setting up and managing staffing related files and databases.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have supervisory responsibilities for a small team of admin staff reporting to them including undertaking regular appraisals, sickness management and performance management to ensure the smooth running of the department.

The post holder will also manage the administration relating to physiotherapy manual handling training as well and be responsible for delivering manual handling training to administrative staff across physiotherapy (following cascade training).

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Education, Qualifications, Training

Essential

  • Good command of English language and basic Maths
  • RSA Stage III word processing / typing or equivalent

Desirable

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • European Computer Driving Licence

Experience

  • Previous office management experience
