Role Overview:As a Childcare Practitioner Assistant, your role is pivotal in creating a nurturing and educational environment for children. Your responsibilities include: Supporting Childcare Practitioners:Assist in providing a safe, stimulating, and learning-rich environment for childrens growth, adhering to EYFS and OFSTED regulations.Ensure child protection policies and procedures are followed, escalating concerns to the nursery manager if needed. Key Worker Responsibilities:With support, act as a key worker for designated children, meeting with parents and providing developmental reports on their progress.Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.Activity Planning:Assist in planning activities that offer high-quality care and education, considering each childs background and cultural needs.Contribute to creating a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Safeguarding and Child Protection:Actively promote and support the safeguarding of children, ensuring adherence to child protection policies at all times.Escalate any concerns to the nursery manager or designated safeguarding lead. Accident Reporting:Record accidents in the accident book and ensure a member of the management team initials the report before it is given to the parent. Food and Drink Supervision:Assist in serving and supervising childrens meals, paying attention to individual dietary and religious requirements. This role is all about making a positive impact on childrens lives and working closely with families and colleagues to support each childs unique journey.
