As above, and... Leadership 1. Engage in Trust-wide work with key stakeholders and leadership teams on community engagement best practice. 2. Work collaboratively across internal departments within NUH, and wider across the local and national organisations such as Integrated Care Systems and the Local Authority, as well as the voluntary, independent, and faith sectors to develop, shape, and deliver a community engagement service across organisational, geographical, and professional boundaries. 3. Ensure that good practice across population health, health inequalities, and community engagement are rapidly shared and delivered at all levels within the Trust and across wider health and social care services. 4. 4. Help champion the Global Health Partnership work stream across the organization and wider, where appropriate. 5. Deputise for the Assistant Director of Nursing, Inclusion as required. Communication 1. Work across organisational and professional boundaries, leading the proactive development of effective inter professional networks for community engagement. 2. Author reports and highlight reports as required in line with the governance structures, in support of the Workforce Inclusion Strategy Implementation objectives. 3. Consult with different stakeholders and provide complex advice and in-depth analysis to support divisional and Trust-level community activities. 4. Manage effective communication channels and positive working relationships with both internal and external service users and service providers. 5. Contribute to effective communication within the Trust and wider health care community regarding activities and relationship building between NUH and our local communities, and the strategic approach to the development of community engagement programs. 6. Build and develop mechanisms for enhancing staff engagement and communication across the Trust, through facilitating community time-out days, developing content for the intranet, internet, and other forms of social media. 7. Work in collaboration with the Institute and divisional management teams to enable improvements and support meeting national targets as required. Governance and Finance 1. Lead on managing resources to deliver community activity objectives as agreed with the Director of Inclusion. 2. Monitor the systems for the collection and analysis of information required to evaluate community initiatives and Trust-wide projects for effectiveness. 3. Draft reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress reports including strategic updates. 4. Analyse, interpret and present complex data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making. 5. Contribute to annual planning and local service delivery plans. 6. Produce and present written and verbal reports containing highly complex information on inclusion developments, agenda and ensure work is measurable and improvements can be demonstrated. 7. Ensure budgets are worked within and best use of resource is ensured at all times. Education and Practice Development 1. Engage in Trust-wide work with key stakeholder and leadership teams on enhancing and sharing community engagement best practice. 2. Actively engage in and support the development, introduction, and ongoing evaluation of the Trust-wide community engagement strategy. Research 1. Regularly undertake research, audit and transformation activity to ensure practice at NUH meets or exceeds the standards for best practice in Inclusion and Community Engagement. 2. Work with the Clinical Lead for Research and Innovation on programmes of national research relating to Inclusion and community engagement. 3. Collaborate with the Clinical Lead for Research and Innovation to use evidence-based practice and research to inform community development programmes. People 1. Support the Director of Inclusion and and the Assistant Director of Nursing, Inclusion as required with the recruitment and line management and development of staff, ensuring that all aspects of performance, attendance, training and appraisal are addressed in accordance with Trust Policy. 2. To create an inclusive working environment where diversity is valued, everyone can contribute, and everyday action ensures we meet our duty to uphold and promote equality. Corporate-Specific Responsibilities 1. Support and lead on trust wide initiatives as required. 2. Represent the Trust at local or national meetings. 3. Sit on appointment panels.
