- Both posts will provide 7 days cover between them working opposite shifts of the 2 week rota:
Week 1 - Post 1 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday Sunday
Week 2 - Post 1 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 1 - Post 2 Wednesday, Thursday Friday
Week 2 - Post 2 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
The shift times for both posts are 7.00-15.30 with one 7.00-17.30 shift per week which can be worked flexibly. The post holders will be expected to provide cover for each other.
Supporting the delivery of Housekeeping to corporate and ward areas and, where applicable, Linen Services, to the Trust, and leading the Housekeeping team in delivering high quality services to all areas; supporting the delivery of service modernisation and National Initiatives.
Assisting in establishing Hotel Services as having day-to-day "ownership" of the Hospital environment for the Facilities Division.

About the Role....
The post of the Housekeeping Section leader is to Support the delivery of Housekeeping and, where applicable, Linen Services, to the Trust, ensuring that hospital Clinics, Departments and Corridor areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, environmental cleanliness and appearance and leading the Housekeeping team in delivering high quality services to all areas; supporting the delivery of service modernisation and National Initiatives.

Flexibility towards the work so as to meet changing needs and priorities at all times is required. You should be of smart appearance and demonstrate good communication skills.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
- Computer literacy to RSA level 2 or equivalent
Desirable
- Supervisory Qualification
- Health and Safety qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in Customer Care
Previous experience
Essential
- Previous NHS experience or experience of working in a high level customer service environment
- Previous Supervisory experience
Desirable

- Be able to demonstrate previous experience of training of staff
Knowledge and skills
Essential
- Literacy, numeracy and comprehension skills sufficient to complete timesheets and monitoring documents, calculate costs of orders, produce memos and short reports, complete Annual Appraisal documentation
- Able to demonstrate ability to take the lead role of supervising part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and complete tasks according to objectives and to motivate others to do the same.
- Able to demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with people from all sections of society.
