Job Description

Education & Qualifications Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice. Included on the GMC Specialist Register. Qualified medical professional. Evidence of continuing professional and personal development Experience: Experience of medical management in a leadership position at or close to Board level within a complex healthcare organisation. Experience in leading and managing service transformation and change, achieving improvements in quality and safety. Experience of providing professional leadership and managing professional conduct across an organisation. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing service user, carer, and public involvement strategies. A track record of partnership working and influencing health and social care system change at a local and regional level Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Digitally enabled leader with the ability to source information and critically appraise it Knowledge of the NHS and current government policies impacting it Understanding of quality improvement methodologies and clinical excellence techniques Ability to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in the NHS Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to build rapport and credibility with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Highly effective presentation skills and the ability to communicate well-reasoned and structured arguments verbally and inwriting Ability to exercise judgement around complex and reputationally sensitive issues and effectively manage challenge at a senior level Ability to take personal responsibility and have the confidence to make difficult or potentially unpopular decisions Persistence and resilience in meeting objectives within constantly changing situations Leadership Attributes: Role model for inclusivity in the organisation Ability to establish a high-performing culture while flexing ones leadership style to the different needs of team members Understanding of and ability to demonstrate formal and informal leadership, including influencing, networking and political acumen Collaborative leader committed to partnership working in the interests of integrated care Transformative approach Motivated by achieving outcomes that benefit service users, carers, and the organisation.
