Pharmacy Technician - South Tandridge PCN
Job Description
Undertake patient facing and patient supporting roles to ensure effective use of medicines, through shared decision-making conversations with patients. Participate in the medicines monitoring activities, to support the repeat prescribing process and help ensure safe use of medication. Carry out medicines optimisation tasks including effective medicine administration (e.g. checking inhaler technique), supporting medication reviews, and medicines reconciliation. Support effective implementation of MHRA and other safety alerts. Support the practice and Clinical Pharmacy team with CQC related activities. Utilise consultation skills to work in partnership with patients to ensure they use their medicines effectively. Provide specialist expertise, where competent, to address both the public health and social care needs of patients, including lifestyle advice. Support initiatives for antimicrobial stewardship to reduce inappropriate antibiotic prescribing.
