Philanthropy Manager
Job Description
As part of the Income Generation Directorate, the Philanthropy Manager will lead on the development of Helen & Douglas Houses major donor fundraising income by proactively developing new and existing high value relationships. An external facing role, the work will include managing existing donors, internal prospecting and pipeline development, building new, external relationships, and creating a network of local significant support. The post reports to, and works closely with, the Senior Philanthropy Manager and will work closely with the Philanthropy Executive to deliver our mid-level (£500-£5,000 per annum) giving programme, The Childrens Champions. It is based at our Oxford office with travel required across the Thames Valley. We are at a very exciting moment in Helen & Douglas Houses history with a new CEO and Director of Income Generation on board and a new three-year strategy in development. This new strategy will provide the organisation with a strong outward-facing ambition and the opportunity to engage more high value donors in our plans. The area of major gifts has been identified as a key growth area and therefore is an organisational priority.
