Supporting Pre-Operative Assessment of patients to a high standard ensuring patients are individually managed case by case and prepared for elective surgery in a safe and timely manner Provide high quality evidence based clinical care and clear communication to patients, in line with the Trust Values and in accordance with professional regulations To act as a role model communicating in line with the Trust Values, to patients, carers and the staff at all times Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas for the senior nurse in charge, recognising and working within the limits of your competence Take every opportunity to continue to maintain and develop your own practice Liaise with other clinical areas as necessary for the coordination of patient care and the smooth running of the ward/unit/department. To take part in the safety and improvement huddles within the department Be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and innovation Daily duties of clinical observations, ECG, sampling and tests, admin and housekeeping duties
