The successful candidate must have experience of working and influencing senior clinicians and have a proven track record of successful implementation of Medicines Optimisation projects. Primary Care sector experience is a plus. You will need to have a combination of at least five years post registration experience, a clinical diploma and a prescribing qualification. You will also need a great deal of self-motivation, sound clinical knowledge and computer literacy. The role will also be supported by a full training package, according to needs. A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a maximum payment of £1,845 per annum (pro rata where applicable) if based in Welwyn Garden City. Vaccination as a Condition of Deployment (VCOD) for Healthcare Workers - Candidates offered a role with Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, who are aged 18 and over and who will have direct, face to face contact with service users as part of their role will be required to evidence that they have received a complete course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, subject to limited exceptions, by no later than 1 April 2022. This will include front-line workers, as well as non-clinical workers not directly involved in patient care but who nevertheless may have direct, face to-face contact with patients, such as receptionists and ward clerks. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Maximum score 8 Pharmacy degree (Masters level). Registration with the GPhC Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent. Non-medical Prescriber Desirable criteria Maximum score 8 Accredited Diploma Tutor Member of the RPS Post graduate Masters in Pharmacy Management courses Experience Essential criteria Maximum score 14 Evidence of specialist practitioner practice within specialism Evidence of influencing members of the multidisciplinary team in delivering patient care. Evidence of relevant continued professional development Evidence of managing and delivering a project Experience of supervising and training staff Policy and service development Experience of collaborative working in multidisciplinary settings Desirable criteria Maximum score 8 Risk Management Presentation to Trustwide meetings Demonstrable evidence of undertaking research and audit and using the results to improve patient care. Experience of delivering education and training to undergraduates and postgraduates of various healthcare professions. Skills and aptitudes Essential criteria Maximum score 24 Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Report writing Organised and able to devise, plan and manage and prioritise work programmes Critical review/analysis and interpretation of clinical literature and medicines legislation Appropriate IT skills are required to utilise clinical information systems, pharmacy computer systems, databases and other software to improve patient care. Demonstrable advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement.
