Your Responsibilities What youll do Youll deliver patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) activities for Southamptons university-hospital partnership. Youll build relationships across communities, organisations and our partnership, to connect people and support their co-production of research. This includes, but is not limited to: Delivery and development of PPIE resources, activities and networks Supporting a culture of open, inclusive involvement across all our, and our partners, work Helping build skills and know-how through delivering training, learning resources and support Working regionally, actively developing links, supporting collaborations and building diverse public involvement In this role, you will: Work closely with the public and patients, SCREI colleagues, researchers, external partners and suppliers Make sure research teams are supported in their PPIE activities, working with wider SCREI teams across the research cycle and our portfolio Work across health subjects and disease areas to engage and involve people in our work Be responsible for liaising with research teams, the public and patients to interpret and effectively support needs What were looking for Were looking for someone who thrives on connecting people. Youll be creative, with strong skills and awareness in inclusive engagement of diverse groups. We need your great people skills to grow relationships across our communities, our departments and different organisations. True involvement of public and patients in research and its management can be challenging. Were looking for you to play an active role in making this part of all we do. Familiarity with PPIE in the NHS R&D, National Institute for Health and Social Care Research and/or clinical academic environment is desirable. But what youll need above all is initiative, a commitment to co-production and demonstrable ability in delivering engagement activities.
