Previous experience working in a healthcare setting and/or an NVQ in Health and Social Care is an advantage and your excellent interpersonal skills, perhaps gained in a customer facing role, are just as important to us. Dealing with IT and performing administrative tasks is also a significant part of the job and so a good level of IT literacy is necessary. Our Radiology Assistants are a vital support to the Radiology team. The work is interesting and varied, providing assistance with a range of diagnostic imaging procedures and supporting the administrative staff within the department. Radiology Assistants are interested in working with a diverse spectrum of people and conditions, all with individual needs and expectations. Our radiology HCA must be driven by a desire to provide a first class service in a caring and understanding manner. We are looking for someone to work 2 days a week, Wednesdays and Fridays 8am till 5.30pm with opportunities for overtime when covering holidays and sickness and additional clinics. As a Radiology Assistant, you will have: A 'can do' attitude. The ability to adapt to various people and situations. An excellent understanding of people and sensitivity to their needs. The ability to be part of an effective team and be able to think independently. An NVQ level 2 or equivalent in healthcare (desirable).
