Job Description
To provide a comprehensive physical health service as part of the Multi-DisciplinaryTeam to prisoners with physical health needs within Health & Justice. In conjunctionwith the management team contribute to and deliver a comprehensive Primary HealthService in partnership with mental health and key stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team within the prison setting.This role involves undertaking health assessments, administering medication andtreatments, performing diagnostic tests, as appropriate, and providing and evaluatinga range of health interventions to meet prisoner health and social care needs.The post holder will be required to work flexibly across the service to provideresponsive, evidence-based interventions working alongside physical and mentalhealth clinical teams.The postholder will be part of a team that provides primary care within a prison,preventing transfer to outside hospitals. They will demonstrate knowledge, skills andunderstanding of health issues and treatment options and have a keen interest indeveloping knowledge and skills across the integrated services.The post holder will be expected to operate in line with our shared commitment to ourvalues; Working Together, Integrity, Respect and Recognition, Compassion and innovation
