Salary: £37,862.30 to £42,905.39 per annum DOE

The Chantry is a specialist neurological centre in Ipswich. We support people to thrive after a brain injury and/or a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntingtons disease, Parkinsons, and multiple sclerosis. We are committed to providing innovative neurorehabilitation and long-term complex care and disability management to improve the quality of life for people with acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions.
Main duties of the job
MAIN PURPOSE:
To provide a physiotherapy service at senior level by assessing, implementing (by self or junior staff) and evaluating programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team. To ensure continuity and consistency regarding service users physical management. To demonstrate a senior level of clinical, technical and research skills through breadth and depth of knowledge.

Job responsibilities
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assessment of service user needs in relation particularly to optimising independence and physical function
To undertake comprehensive assessment of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans
To promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service user experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service user and their representatives
To liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy
To ensure appropriate prescription, provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources
To ensure that up to date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and Brankind standards, and that sensitive information is held securely
To demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision.
To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching
To lead on the localised training plan for Brainkind staff to provide physiotherapy interventions as part of overall care
Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks

Qualifications
Essential
- ABOUT YOU:
- Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy
- Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
- Current registration with professional body (e.g. CSP)
- Member of specialist interest group (ACPIN or ACPOPC) or willing to join
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Experience of working in a relevant setting
- Demonstrable experience of using evidence based practice and outcome measures
- Skilled knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning
