Job summary
We are seeking an organised and efficient administrator to join the Bassetlaw Theatre team as a Supplies Assistant to carry out routine daily inventory management activities, including replenishment of equipment and instrumentation. Another important aspect of the role is overseeing the coordination of moving surgical items between all Theatre sites across Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.
Prior experience of working in a procurement setting and knowledge of ordering systems such as Genesis, SBS, and Oracle is essential. The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively liaise with suppliers and negotiate delivery dates etc. Any prior experience and knowledge of working with surgical instruments; specifically orthopaedic surgery is desirable.
Main duties of the job
This role will assist in the maintenance, organisation and administration of equipment/instrumentation and surgical supplies within the orthopaedic operating theatres/complex. The role willprovide an efficient supplies service to the orthopaedic theatres at BDTH; ordering and maintaining surgical instrumentation as required by orthopaedic theatre staff and monitoring records.

Qualifications/Training

- Be prepared to undertake training
- Good keyboard skills
- Computer literate using Microsoft applications
