Support Manager - Breast Screening

The post holder is responsible for co-coordinating appointments/RTT planning for the Breast Screening Service and supporting with rota co-ordination of clinical teams. (This includes the administration of medirota). You will also be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the screening admin team. This post will be key in ensuring the efficient working of the department in maintaining clinics for outpatients. This in turn will ensure the department meets the Government targets in terms of women receiving a timely invitation for routine breast screening, recall for assessment and the onward RTT. In having responsibility for co-coordinating the clinical planning of the department the individual must have excellent communication skills in liaising with clinicians and in dealing with operational issues and day to day complaints that arise. The ideal post holder will be intelligent, hard-working and able to deal with pressure, as well as having an acute attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills. The post holder will also be responsible for accurately recording the annual and study leave requests of the clinical teams on the National Breast Screening System (NBSS) and ensuring cover provided where possible. The post holder will have responsibility for the day-to-day co-ordination of the screening admin team, ensuring efficient working practices are in place in order that all administration for the service is managed within the timescales and governance set by the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme. The post holder will also manage their annual leave entitlements and requests.
