Do you like dealing with numbers? Do you have an eye for detail and a curiosity to question and challenge? Do you want to learn in work environment rather than in a classroom? Then our apprenticeship in accounting may be what you are looking for. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. You will assist the Accounts Manager in the day to day running of the finance operations which include the following: Processing and analysing invoices Data entry using online accounts systems Reconciling supplier statements Manage account functions such as petty cash, prescriptions and other income Assist in preparation of management reports We are undergoing a period of transformation where we are digitising and automating many of our processes to allow us to provide better care for our patients and provide staff with empowerment in their role. We have an excellent training programme and progression through our apprentice schemes. It is important you have excellent administration (including use of spreadsheets), communication and people skills as this role entails communicating with a range of internal and external professionals and organisations, while providing outstanding customer service for all our colleagues. If you are conscientious, kind, have a flexible attitude and can operate, or willing to learn, in a digital fast paced environment then it is likely you have the skills and attitude we are looking for. The team fosters a strong supportive team approach and training for this role will be provided. We are proud of the fact that we are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission and that we are a forward-thinking innovative practice who is agile and adaptive to the changing face of healthcare. We provide training for both UEA and Cambridge University Medical Students, we train Registrars preparing them for life as a GP. We also train student nurses and paramedics and have clear progression routes for clinical and non-clinical colleagues. As part of our transformation we have ensured that all members of the digital leadership team strive towards applying the culture, processes, business models and technologies of the internet era to respond to peoples raised expectations and you can expect this as a minimum working at Fakenham Medical Practice
