ROLE OF THE JOB This is an exciting opportunity to join Northumberland County Council's Economic Development Service to support the development and delivery of strategic economic growth projects and initiatives that contribute to the delivery of the Northumberland Economic Strategy. Northumberland is an ambitious County and priorities for the Place and Regeneration Directorate is the development and delivery of Northumberland's Economic Strategy; commissioning services which will deliver the Council's ambition for economic development and growth; and contributing to making the County a place where people want to live and work, creating new opportunities. The postholder will manage components of the Council's Economic Growth Programme, including the development of and delivery of a range of economic growth programmes, projects and initiatives pursued by the Council, particularly in relation to the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal and North East devolution. Working to the Head of Economic Development, the postholder will contribute to the overall leadership of the Economic Development Service. We are looking for an integral team member with extensive experience in delivering strategic economic development and regeneration programmes and a track record of engaging effectively with others at a senior level and building productive partnerships with key stakeholders. You will have an eye for detail and good organisational skills and also be flexible and innovative in your approach and be able to work as part of a highly effective and valued team.? ? The working arrangements are flexible with hybrid working. The office location is at County Hall, Morpeth. This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2026.
