Prospect Hospice is seeking enthusiastic staff to join our team in our charity shops located in Swindon, Marlborough and the surrounding areas.

Hours: Casual shifts available (09:15-17:15 across Monday to Sunday)

What is the role?

As a casual retail shop manager, you will take on the day-to-day relief management of one or more of our charity shops, stepping in when additional support is needed. You'll play a pivotal role in driving sales, managing staff and volunteers, and ensuring the shop operates smoothly and efficiently. This casual position offers flexible hours that can be tailored to your availability, making it ideal for experienced retail managers seeking work-life balance while contributing to a fantastic cause.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cover for holidays and sickness across our 18 stores in Swindon and the surrounding area
  • Operate as part of the overall shop team, efficiently managing volunteer resources to ensure the success and smooth running of the shops
  • Work to achieve agreed sales targets and maximise income generation
  • Deliver a high standard of presentation of the store's windows and shop floor
  • Contribute to the development of new promotions and other improvements to retail practice
  • Undertake daily till duties, safe reconciliation and banking

There will be an expectation of flexibility to work across our 18 stores. Locations include Swindon, Marlborough, Pewsey, Royal Wootton Bassett, Cricklade and Highworth.
