We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Merchandising Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Merchandising function by raising and amending purchase orders, maintaining system pricing and promotions, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure smooth operations, including Partners and the wider Merchandising team. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of working week but the nature of some roles may require more working time in our head offices) and remotely within the UK.

This role could be full time or part time (no less than 3 days per week) but please note your salary will pro rata accordingly.

You'll help us by:

As a Merchandising Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for raising Purchase Orders (POs) to procure stock from our global suppliers, ensuring that POs are created accurately and on time to align with our buy plans. This will ensure stock is ready for delivery in line with our trading plans. You will also plan size ratios by sales channel, supporting the unique customer profiles of each channel. When plans change, you will amend POs accordingly and communicate these updates effectively to suppliers.

In this role, you will also maintain system pricing and promotions, ensuring that all pricing is accurate for both in-store and online customers. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal product teams, including Buying, Merchandising, Logistics, and Sales, fostering strong relationships through clear and effective communication. You will also liaise with suppliers and other external partners, ensuring professionalism and acting as a strong ambassador for Seasalt and its values.

The skills you'll be sharing with the team:

  • GSCE English/Maths Grade 4 or equivalent
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (with knowledge of formulas)
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally and build relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own priorities and workload, delivering within deadlines
  • Dedication to developing self, team and role
  • Professional and able to give/receive constructive feedback
