As our Test Analyst you'll work as part of the Test team within the Development team. Working with technical and non-technical teams throughout the business, this role will be a key

member of the Test team and approached as an expert in this area. You'll work within a dynamic business and a multi-disciplined team covering a vast array of retail systems and technologies under test and become a key driver in the improvement of the Test strategy and drive the wider understanding of software testing, building expertise within the Development team.

This role is offered as a full-time permanent role and is based remotely within the UK (you must reside in the UK), with occasional travel to our Cornwall head offices.

You'll help us by:

Liaising with project stakeholders to further the understanding of the test approach. Managing the risks associated with testing and take preventative action when risks become critical.

Being responsible for ensuring that all test activities are delivered to a high quality (using risk-based assessment approaches), documentation and handover. Ensuring appropriate documentation of all validation, testing and release processes, systems, suppliers, and services are maintained.

You'll be responsible for governing the planning and implementation of the test environments. Ensuring that the design, planning and maintenance of test scripts are managed through the projects and beyond You'll ensuring business engagement in project testing and that enough resources are committed.

Assisting in the governance of all test activities through the lifecycle of the projects. Feeding into the Test process Improvement review per project and within the Test team

You'll ensure excellence for testing activities across IT.

The skills you'll be sharing with the team:

  • Formal IT qualification (ITIL, ISTQB, etc) of foundation or above.
  • Experience operating in a dedicated software tester role
  • Ability to support all levels of testing - Functional, Non-Functional, Component, Integration, etc
  • Ability to lead on Bug Management and Triage activities.
  • Comfortable leading stakeholders and non-technical communities.
  • Experience of SDLC methodologies and the ability to work within agile, iterative, waterfall.
  • Experience of working with enterprise scale applications in the cloud or locally
  • Experience working with test management tools such as JIRA, ADO, ALM utilising Kanban.
  • Experience working with dedicated test environments and an understanding of the promotion strategy between them.
