If you are enthusiastic about early childhood education and have a love for teaching in a rural setting, we'd love to hear from you! Myddle primary school has its own nursery in a purpose-build self-contained setting, within extensive beautiful grounds. The nursery and the reception class work together closely and due to a low intake this year, the teacher and the nursery lead support all the EYFS children together. We are part of the Harris Gough federation and work closely with Baschurch Primary School. This post is solely based at Myddle Primary School. We are a small, friendly school with happy and motivated children. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). • Support and collaborate closely with the Nursery Leader to ensure a cohesive learning environment for our youngest learners. • Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity and a love of learning. • Work with the wider school team to integrate the school's values into the children's learning experiences. • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing detailed feedback to parents and working on individual development plans where necessary. • Ensure the wellbeing of all children, promoting positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development. • Collaborate with parents and carers, maintaining open communication and fostering strong partnerships. The Ideal Candidate Will: • Hold a relevant teaching qualification (EYTS, QTS, or equivalent) with experience in EYFS or early years education. • Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to supporting their holistic development. • Be proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Build a positive working relationship with the nursery lead teacher, plan collaboratively and share ideas. • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. • Be adaptable and flexible, ready to embrace the unique challenges and opportunities that come with teaching in a small rural school. • Support and promote the Christian values of the school. • Have experience or training in the teaching of phonics, early reading and early maths. • Be passionate about learning through play and creating a range of learning experiences and activities to ensure all children reach their potential. • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
