Who You Are

  • Hold a professional qualification in Social Work with current Social Work England registration.
  • Experienced in making effective use of supervision, including case escalation and reflection.
  • Skilled in workload management, including prioritization, risk management, and time management.
  • Possess enhanced case management experience, especially where rights and duties conflict.
  • Understand and apply diversity, equality, and identity in practice.
  • Experienced in advancing people's rights and entitlements within a legal and policy framework.
  • Strong in critical reflection and decision-making.
  • Experience in managing a complex caseload and skilled in crisis intervention and risk management.
  • Proficient in advanced communication, recording, and report writing, including using information management systems.
  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check and comply with a non-smoking policy.

What the Job Involves

  • Work within legislative and statutory frameworks, adhering to Government Guidance and City Council values.
  • Support the Adult Health and Social Care Transformation program in achieving objectives for citizens.
  • Conduct strengths-based, outcome-focused assessments and case management within a Whole Life approach.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, and adults for preparation for adulthood.
  • Maintain professionalism through effective supervision and workload management.
  • Deliver practice underpinned by legal frameworks, promoting individual rights and problem-solving.
  • Apply principles of social justice, inclusion, and equality in practice.
  • Engage with team working, partner agencies, and stakeholders for collaborative problem-solving.
  • Undertake ongoing professional development and participate in peer support and multi-agency meetings.
  • Work within specialist residential homes for adults with learning disabilities, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014.
