Alternative Provision Instructor

Team Sport Go Karting

Job Description

Alternative Provision Instructor

TeamSport Indoor Karting creates a safe, unique, and exciting experience for everyone! We are now recruiting for an Alternative Provision Instructor to join our fantastic team at TeamSport Indoor Karting.

About the Opportunity

This role is the driving force behind our vocational training programme. Reporting to the General Manager and the Head of Social and Educational Programmes, you'll deliver an engaging syllabus that helps students earn valuable qualifications and essential life skills.

As an Alternative Provision Instructor, you will deliver specially designed Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. These tailored lessons aim to raise attainment for pupils with specific barriers to learning, ensuring they make the required progress set by their main educational setting. Ultimately, you'll make a significant difference in the lives of the country's most disadvantaged and disengaged young people.

About the Provision

TeamSport Indoor Karting and Fast Forward Vocational Training Ltd have partnered nationally to offer an exciting and unique opportunity for young people to acquire vocational skills and qualifications.

Fast Forward is a specialist training provider dedicated to bridging the gap for disadvantaged youths, SEND students, and those missing from education. Our goal is to enable success and build positive futures across the UK.

We work with students of all abilities and needs, adapting our nationally recognised and accredited motor vehicle studies programme to ensure every student can achieve. The course is designed to develop communication and interaction, cognition and learning, physical and sensory needs, and social, emotional, and mental health.

While a typical motor vehicle studies course would involve working on cars and road vehicles, our specially adapted programme utilises the track's fleet of karts. This approach allows students more hands-on time and simplifies the course to its mechanical basics, providing those with higher needs a clearer route to understanding and completing the course.

Students will also have the opportunity to use the karting track, offering them a tangible reward at the end of their session.

We take pride in steering children in the right direction, nurturing their aspirations to help them progress both academically and socially. Our programme builds confidence in students, enabling them to better understand and engage with the wider community in which they live.
