Position Overview: The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, managing service technicians, and driving departmental profitability. This is a key leadership position within our dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the service department, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
  • Ensure efficient operation and quality control of all vehicle service and repair work.
  • Monitor customer service metrics and address any issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Implement and maintain best practices to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure swift resolution to build long-term customer relationships.
  • Monitor the performance of service staff and provide training or coaching as needed.
  • Collaborate with the sales and parts departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present reports on service department performance to upper management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a service management or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using service management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions under pressure.
