Service: Renfrewshire Learning Disabilities Service (Female Only *Falls under the 2010 Equality Act)

Based: Kilbarchan

Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week) & Part-Time Available

Salary: £12.19 - £12.74 per hour, rising to £12.43 in your first year of service

Annual: £23,450 - £24,514 (pro rata)

Contract: Permanent

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Kilbarchan are looking for Full and Part-Time Female Support Practitioners. For this position *female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

Our lovely house is home to 3 females who lead a full and fulfilling life but need a little support. It might be helping out with the everyday tasks that we all require to do such as managing finances, prompting, encouragement and administer medication as well as help around the home. When the daily chores are done ladies would love your company at their regular art and music classes, as well as joining them as they let their hair down and enjoy a trip to the sea or a nice meal out, alternatively they like to cook at home and enjoy a movie night. You will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes.

Could you make someone's day in Kilbarchan a little easier? The Service Users need support 24 hours a day. This will require you to be available for various shifts and sleepovers. We work a 37-hour working week, not a 40-hour week. We appreciate your time so we pay an additional £96.00 per sleepover shift. When you use your car for work purposes, we pay you for your work travel time and the costs for public transport or if you have a car, we pay 45p per mile.
