We want to see your best wildlife, animal and pet shots.
One of the few positives to come out of lockdown was that many people said they spent more time appreciating the world around them. Many of us have spent a great deal more time in our homes, gardens and local parks – noticing more of what’s going on in the world around us, where before we might have walked hurriedly past.
Animals have played a crucial part in the lives of many people during this period – and have done for as long as human memory can remember. In the recent months, we’ve enjoyed the company of our pets and watched as the birds, insects and local wildlife go about their daily business – oblivious to the drama unfolding in the human world.
With that in mind, we’d love to see your animal photographs. Whether they make us laugh, stare in wonder or simply say “aah” – we’d love see your photographs that show what animals mean to you.

How to enter
Please email your best shot to [email protected] with your name, location and a brief introduction or explanation about what (or who!) your photograph is about. The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday 9th August.
Entries are limited to 3 shots per person. By submitting your entry, you confirm that you are happy for us to publish your photograph/s on our website and social media.
