About the role

Balfour Beatty Living Places has now created a new and exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our Living Places Business Unit to work at our Sturton by Stow depot.

You will ensure the safe and profitable delivery of all types of reactive/emergency works, ensuring sufficient operational resources are available to achieve optimum productivity. In addition, you will lead and support the reactive delivery crews.

What you'll be doing

Day to day, your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Reviewing works orders;
  • Ordering materials;
  • Programming resource, material and plant;
  • Interfacing with other supervisors to maximise opportunities for resource sharing;
  • Dealing with adverse weather situations to ensure the resources are allocated correctly;
  • Productivity reporting and providing information to support managing outputs;
  • Resolution of queries relating to planned and completed works;
  • Support the delivery of winter service provisions.

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A working knowledge and experience of highway maintenance contracts, including operational;
  • A confident outlook with good managerial skills;
  • Root cause analysis and cost awareness skills;
  • Understanding of works programming;
  • Full Driving Licence.
