About the role

We are looking for a talented SVD Supervisor to join our talented Highways team and support various schemes around the M25.This is an amazing opportunity to apply your knowledge and technical skills in a great place to work that encourages growth and development.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and coordinate the installation of stop vehicle detection systems at various locations.
  • Ensure that installation work complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Train staff on the proper operation and maintenance of stop vehicle detection equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the reliability and accuracy of detection systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Keep detailed records of system installations, maintenance activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Respond to emergency situations or equipment failures to minimize disruptions to traffic flow and ensure public safety.

Who we're looking for

  • Strong knowledge of highways technology works such as ducting, cabinet sites, cable pulling and electrical installations.
  • Must have Street Works Supervisor Competency.
  • G39 Electrical Safety Certification.
  • Flexible to work extended periods during night shifts as needed.
  • Previous experience with Stopped Vehicle Detection installations (desirable).
