Secondment Oflog Data Policy Development Lead, Local Government Capability

Oflogs five-year vision is to be a centre of excellence for how councils use data in their management and local decision making. As a policy lead in this workstream, youll engage and work jointly with the local government sector, identifying best practice, and shaping offers that complement rather than duplicate the work of others. To do this credibly, youll help develop Oflogs own expertise and distinctiveness in best use of data in local authority management, local decision-making, and the most appropriate mixed-market delivery.This vacancy is to join the division leading on performance measures.The successful individual will play a key role in: - Informing the design and delivery of our data capability workstream.Undertaking research and evidence gathering to understand the current local data capability landscape and need.Supporting Oflog and local authorities to ensure all parties are securing the maximal benefits of data.Undertaking detailed desk-based research on different data capability initiatives, including engagement with local authorities and others in the sector on these.Keeping up to date on developments in improving data capability, ensuring these are reflected in Oflogs long term strategy.
