Bid Writer
£35,000 to £45,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Hybrid working, in this role you'll travel weekly to our Scunthorpe (DN15 9GE) and Manchester (M60 0AG) offices (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
We're looking for a Bid Writer to join our new bid team in Co-op Wholesale. As a Bid Writer, you'll produce professionally written sales and tender proposals that clearly articulate our value proposition. We'll look to you to craft tailored responses for large clients, making sure we keep to our tone of voice, copy guidelines and brand standards. What you'll do
- Develop and write proposals that align with our value proposition and brand guidelines
- Coordinate and engage with multiple senior leaders and internal teams to gather necessary information to support proposal development
- Make decisions on the presentation and content of proposals to make sure they meet our client needs and compliance requirements
- Manage deadlines and make sure submissions of proposals are completed in a timely manner
- Look for opportunities to create and participate in projects aimed at process improvements in proposal development
This role would suit people who have
- Previous experience of bid writing and/or sales proposals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to address both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
- Strong determination and self-motivation to deliver to strict timelines
- The ability to build and manage relationships with key internal partners
- Strong IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint confidently
