Finance Master Data Specialist
£24,000 to £34,800 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)
Manchester city centre, in this role you'll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and coming into our Manchester office at least once a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).


We're looking for a Finance Master Data Specialist to join a brand-new team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You'll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of 'co-operating to build more value for member-owners everyday'.

As a Finance Master Data Specialist, you'll support in optimising our financial master data processes. We'll look to you to help us make better decisions and improve our overall financial performance. You'll support in the development and completion of the roadmap for financial master data, including the design and implementation of SAP Data Dimensions and hierarchies. This is an exciting time to join us, as we look to transform our finance systems and implement SAP S4 HANA.


What you'll do
- Drive the implementation of a standardised master data model across Co-op for finance master data
- Collaborate with internal partners, from various finance teams, to make sure the data model meets their needs and facilitates efficient financial processing in SAP systems
- Make sure the timely processing of all work received into the department
- Challenge and action any master data set-up and amendment requests, after following the verification process
- Assist in the production and review of process documentation and
- Train new and existing team members, providing support and guidance when needed
- Establish a clear governance framework for managing financial master data on an ongoing basis, implement controls and ensure data quality and compliance
- Proactively look for ways to continuously improve, focusing on customer service and colleague experience


This role would suit people who have
- Experience maintaining and mastering SAP finance data
- Experience working with SAP ECC or SAP S4 HANA
- Experience of general ledger, cost centre and profit centre
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss any potential challenges with the relevant colleagues
- Brilliant analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Great computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and the ability to easily pick up new systems
