Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Every year we treat over 3,000 police officers. We are currently looking to recruit Part-time Housekeeping Assistants to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Hours of Work: Flexible Hours - Part-time minimum 4 hours a day (flexible) between Tuesday and Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm

Purpose

To provide a first class housekeeping cleaning service through the delivery of daily, weekly, priority and periodic deep cleaning schedules as requested by the Housekeeping Management team and ensuring this is delivered in line with our policies, procedures and appropriate legislation.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Carrying out the cleaning of designated areas, which includes emptying bins, sanitising, vacuuming, cleaning walls, floors, washroom areas. Able to make beds and replenish stocks or clean any other areas as listed on the cleaning schedules
  • Ensuring that the quality standards for cleanliness and hygiene of each designated area achieved and maintained in line with departmental procedures.
  • Organisation of both the cleaning and linen stores, ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Working in line with department Health and Safety procedures

PROFILE OF JOB HOLDER

Essential:

  • An appreciation of the importance of confidentiality and discretion in relation to this role
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and complete manual work Have the ability to work on your own or part of a team
  • Be prepared to be DBS cleared
  • Have your own transport as there is no public transport nearby

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience of cleaning in a commercial or private environment
  • COSHH certificate
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety including Manual Handling
