About the Role:

We're looking to grow our amazing Supply Chain Product team with a Senior Product Manager who can partner with our DCMS squad. Their mission is to enable colleagues in our Distribution Centers to work in an automated and optimised way, supporting increased fulfilment rates.

We are right at the start of our Digital Transformation within the Supply Chain operation, and we have a number of systems to build 0-1 to get the foundations in place and then support an Agile and iterative approach to enhancing these foundations to give our colleagues a world class operational system.

Due to an internal move we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to support the delivery of the first phases of DCMS and to be the conduit between the users and stakeholders and the Engineering teams to ensure we achieve the delivery targets that have been set. The Product Manager will need to be on site in our DC in Burton a minimum of twice per week.

Key components of the role:

  • Responsible for the systems that the DCs will be using to run the operation
  • Responsible for ensuring that requirements are aligned across the three sites where consistency in process is possible
  • Champion an automation first approach in line with the strategy of 'manage by exception and inputs, not by rule or outputs'
  • Take ownership of the Product area and work with stakeholders and engineering to build technology that is flexible and supports the DC operational strategy
  • Continuous improvement of the DCMS Product
  • The Engineering team understand the Product Goal
  • Creating and communicating the Product Backlog
  • Ordering Backlog items
  • Ensuring the Product backlog is transparent, visible and understood by Engineering and timelines are clearly communicated with stakeholders
  • Define and prioritize the Product roadmap in collaboration with Stakeholders and Engineering
  • Support Engineering on delivering against the timelines
  • Supporting the wider Supply Chain Operation squads and working with a horizontal mindset to deliver the best outcomes
  • Have a user-centric approach to all feature work, ensuring we are improving the user experience with every iteration.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of WMS systems and DC operations essential
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Great communication skills and storytelling, with the ability to adjust communication style to fit the audience.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Product management tools with the capability to take Product requirements and convert them into workable tickets that your Engineering team can understand.
  • Product Management experience in Fulfilment and Logistics is essential; Supply Chain or Retail domain is desirable.
