The Corporate Trade and Working Capital (TWC) sales team is a cross-sector product team providing our CIB clients with working capital solutions across traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance and asset finance.

Within this role you will focus on cross sector Asset Finance origination as we identify new opportunities across our corporate and institutional banking clients. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside a growing team with direct sales goals to meet our ambition of significantly increasing the size of our business. This role will form a key connectivity between Coverage, the STEM (Structuring, Transaction Execution and Management) team, Trade Product, Asset Finance Product and Asset Finance operations.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Define the sales strategy and business plans for allocated sector portfolio and secure strategic internal support from partners to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way.
  • Develop, implement and execute client sales and product relationship calling plans, with the ability to confidently discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.
  • Meeting Group risk and profitability requirements to deliver targeted growth in the TWC business in terms of Income and Assets.
  • Actively maintain product relationships within the portfolio of existing and agreed target clients.
  • Identify customer needs to develop, structure and review proposals to meet customer requirements. Recognise opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Maintaining a full understanding of the asset finance product set and expanding knowledge across traditional trade, open account (including receivables, payables, invoice finance and asset backed lending), structured trade and commodity finance as we look to cross sell to other working capital products.
  • Prepare and submit credit applications in conjunction with Coverage and STEM Teams, aligned with defined strategy and engage with colleagues in Product, Delivery, Lending Execution and Risk as appropriate.
  • Develop, implement and execute client sales and product relationship calling plans, with the ability to confidently discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.
  • Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more efficient delivery channels.
