We're looking for a Lead Service Engineer to drive the delivery of reliable, scalable and functionally rich software solutions. What you'll do

As a Lead Service Engineer, you'll be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to our success, this is a senior leadership level role and will blend both technical expertise with great passion for coaching and developing people including advocation for team wellbeing.

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure the successful implementation of projects and services.

  • Work within or lead cross-disciplinary teams by providing deep technical expertise, and leads the group in the resolution of service related and management issues, ensuring appropriate technical prioritisation.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality service standards, ensuring all operations are flawless and adhere to industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with feature teams and third parties to identify and implement creative solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Supervises the maintenance and enhancement of service infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and efficiency.

  • Monitor and analyse service performance metrics to continually improve our offerings.

  • Develop and document processes to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

  • The role accepts 24*7 accountability and ownership to support availability, currency and performance.

  • Accountability for defining policy and standards specific to role, ensuring compliance in line with appropriate risk and budget management.

  • Develops and/or delivers budget plans for own area with guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Provides input into the development of IT Security policies, develops underlying procedures and monitors their implementation for area of responsibility within the organisation.

  • Makes sure that a portfolio of suppliers are delivering required levels of service while reporting to senior colleagues.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience as in service engineering or a similar role.

  • Breadth of technical understanding across development, Operations, application and infrastructure.

  • Strong communication skills, dynamic and adaptable, with the ability to facilitate efficient and effective decision-making.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach to finding solutions.

  • Extensive technical knowledge in service engineering, with a thorough understanding of industry standards and commonly accepted approaches.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
