Title: Manager, Compliance Policies and Traceability, Risk Specialist, CCOR

SALARY: £62,874 to £69,860

LOCATION(S): Birmingham, Leeds

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending a minimum of two days per week, or 40% of our time at one of our Risk Hubs.

This means we're changing how we do risk management, creating a team of risk specialists, to provide support aligned to our risk and control owners to deliver great customer outcomes.

We are looking for a manager within the compliance team to support development and execution of our new compliance program. You'll provide governance support to the Head of Function on oversighting our approach and implementation of compliance policies, appetite, and control objectives to enable the delivery of customer, regulatory and business strategic outcomes.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support of the compliance traceability program and regulatory horizon tracking program.

  • Support of the Risk Policy Toolkit, ensuring implementation and maintenance of Group-level risk policies

  • Coordination and execution of:

    • Risk Assessments

    • Reporting and Tracking Actions

    • Policy Breach Management

  • Creating Best Practice in respect of:

    • Defining Controls

    • Risk Appetite & KRIs

    • Training, Education, Communication

    • Compliance Advisory

    • Monitoring/Oversight

What you'll need:

  • Strong hands-on experience in establishing and implementing compliance programs in a financial institution.

  • Good knowledge of regulatory compliance issues, ideally developed in a governance role.

  • Demonstrable understanding of how to utilise technology and data-led solutions to deliver enhanced compliance outcomes.

  • Experience of developing Group-level policy and setting risk-appetite, with expertise in continuous monitoring and reporting.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships.

  • A record of execution and delivering results in an agile environment.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Setting of strategy for compliance programs.

  • Helping the business to understand its compliance obligations, including successful oversight and challenge.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
