LOCATION(S): Bristol, Leeds, Halifax or Edinburgh

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least

two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Job Description

We're on the hunt for a Strategic Change Lead! It's a fantastic opportunity to join a professional, friendly team on a 12-month secondment. Working closely with the Head of Workplace Strategy you'll drive change in the Group's location strategy, shaping the Group's footprint across the UK and helping our business teams to drive better outcomes for customers, faster.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on our Group location strategy, using data, insights and business knowledge to create detailed location plans that deliver against strategy and business requirements
  • Guiding the Group toward better work practices, promoting efficiency, innovation and positive changes to how we operate
  • Developing strategic objectives for our workplaces through collaborating with business areas and working with stakeholders across the business to agree and influence location plans

The Future Workplace team shapes and defines our Group's location strategy. We work closely with our business divisions, understanding their needs and translating their business strategies, resource requirements, and talent profiles into location strategies. Alongside commercial data—such as asset costs, lease values, and maintenance demands—we create a cost-effective approach to asset management. Our team plays a critical role in delivering our long-term strategy, including our commitment to transforming ways of working and optimising our working environments.

What you'll need

It's important that your skill set includes:

  • Experience developing investment business cases
  • Being able to demonstrate strategic thinking - navigating complex challenges, anticipate trends, and devise innovative solutions
  • Shows proven evidence of exceptional stakeholder skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively and collaborate across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills— ability to analyse complex issues, think critically, and propose effective solutions
  • Experience in distilling complex data into concise, impactful content to create executive packs using Powerpoint

It'd also be great if you have:

  • Experience delivering large change projects, even better if it's within people transformation
  • Experience in a similar workplace strategy role
  • Experience in a corporate strategy role
  • Process/continuous improvement work skills
