Job Description

To work in collaboration with clinicians, to review, verify and arrange Placements, Support Services and Support Packages that deliver the specified requirements for those eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding. Ensure that all requests for a service or support package identified by clinicians within the NHS Continuing Healthcare team are placed adhering to service specification standards. The Administrator will provide a full and comprehensive administrative support to the NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team, in the implementation of the National Framework to support the CHC nursing team to enable them to carry out their work effectively and all aspects of their respective roles within the ICB. The role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide administrative services including the organisation and co-ordination of meetings, minute taking and disseminating information to a range of internal and external contacts and taking appropriate follow-up action as required. The ability to manage emotive and sensitive issues and conversations with tact and diplomacy is essential as at times both patients and carers may be distressed. Managing difficult conversations can be both challenging and rewarding in our person-centered service requiring an understanding and compassion for people at a difficult time in their lives. You will need to have demonstrable IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook and will receive in-house training on how to use a clinical system for recording patient information. The successful candidate will be part of a team where the focus is on continuous improvement to ensure we deliver high standards and work productively to deliver quality, timely services to our patients. You will be supported by a dynamic team of commissioners led by experienced nurses.
