Education Mental Health Practitioner - Aylesbury/Amersham

With the role involving working with children and young people in their school setting, you will ideally have had experience of working with children and young people in a healthcare or education setting. The role involves working with school staff in order to support the mental health of children and young people, as well as liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders.To succeed in this role you will need to be self-motivated and a team player. As well as holding an Educational Mental Health Practitioner qualification, you will also have experience of working with children and young people and their families. As the role involves moving between school settings, you need to be able to travel to different locations across the geographical area you are linked to (either High Wycombe, Aylesbury or Chesham/Amersham) X 1 Aylesbury area role based at Sue Nicholls Centre Aylesbury X 2 High Wycombe area roles, both based at Saffron House, High Wycombe X1 Chesham/Amersham area role, based at Saffron House, High Wycombe All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments. Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
