Occupational Therapist - Developmental Role
Job Description
To provide a high quality Occupational Therapy service to patients admitted to Halstead Community Hospital ward. To work as an autonomous practitioner, within the multidisciplinary team. To ensure timely discharge of patients from the service and refer patients on to other health, social care and voluntary agencies, as appropriate. To provide leadership, training and supervision for junior members of staff, therapy assistants and Occupational Therapy students on placement. To support service development initiatives. To manage the day to day work of the team in absence of the team leader. To provide clinical cover to other aspects of the therapy service as required.
