Job Description

Provide transformational programme leadership to the NCL Health Alliance. Be responsible for leading a portfolio of transformational programmes that include delivering meaningful change to healthcare delivery in NCL. Develop and deliver transformational solutions that will improve patient outcomes, access, and address health inequalities. Be able to make judgements involving highly complex facts or situations which require detailed analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options. Apply appropriate quality improvement tools and techniques across the programmes to ensure effective monitoring, delivery, and evaluation. Provide regular and ad hoc updates to NCL Health Alliance (NCL HA) Executive committee, which can be shared across member and partner organisations and where necessary supports organisational governance decisions. Lead the development of business cases for either pilot programmes or the upscaling/permanent delivery of successful programmes. Ensuring that the case demonstrates a compelling case for allocation of existing or new resources to enable delivery. Leverage expertise across NCL HA to identify opportunities for developing external revenue streams from NHS, public sector, commercial and international markets, which can be reinvested in the NHS in North Central London. Facilitate shared learning on transformation across members of NCL HA. Develop an expert understanding of service innovation and transformation from a national and international perspectives. Represent the organisation externally, acting as an ambassador for the partnership at local, regional, and national level. Provide visible leadership in NCL HA and UCLP, acting as a role model in the development and maintenance of a positive culture, standards, and values. Line manage members (see organisational chart) of the NCL HA team and ensure all team members are developed and thrive in their roles. Foster strong working relationships within UCLP teams, our partners and wider system of stakeholders. Ensure meaningful engagement of NCL Integrated Care Board in NCL HA workstreams Support the Managing Director in helping to shape and deliver the strategic mission of the NCL Health Alliance. Work closely with the engagement and PPIE teams at UCLP to ensure innovation adoption/implementation is informed by meaningful patient and public involvement and that community engagement is integral to our programmes. Maintain an expert understanding of current policy relevant to NCL HA programmes of work including (but not restricted to) proactive care, integration, health inequalities, outcomes, access, and population health. Develop a broad understanding of relevant policy developments across other government departments, in particular, Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, Department for Education and the Department for Business, Energy & Industry Strategy (including the Office for Life Sciences). Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and an understanding of how these principles apply to this role. Deputise as appropriate for the Managing Director.
