The aim of the radio is to bring local people together, really listening to people and exploring community inspired content and new ideas - shared on the radio.
We need a volunteer to support us with the technical side of things, setting up the equipment, supporting with editing interviews, and more.
We currently run our sessions on Friday from 1-5pm near Holloway Road, but we aim to make to radio mobile, and move around the wider Islington area.
Because you will be working with vulnerable people, two character references and potentially a DBS check will be needed before you can start volunteering.
- Experience of working with computers
- Experience with recording technology
- Friendly and approachable
- Reliable and patient
- Good communication and listening skills
- Accepting of others who might be different from yourself
- Able to use initiative and work autonomously
- Two references and a DBS may be required for this role
