Charity Retail Till and Furniture Department Volunteers - Weekends Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters. Our busy shop in Finchley are looking for Weekend Volunteers - please will you spare some time to help us? We offer a friendly no-obligation taster session so you may meet the team, get a feel for the amazing atmosphere in our shop and learn more about the Weekend Volunteer role. We are well supported in Finchley by the local community and we are keen for Weekend Volunteers who can serve customers on the till (training provided) as well as Weekend Volunteers who can support us with our busy furniture department. This role will include moving furniture (*note heavy lifting involved), helping to display them in store - and to help customers who wish to buy them. Join us and become one of the store's friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work. Please note - we have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18. The Role - Charity Retail Till and Furniture Department Volunteers - Weekends • Receiving donations and deliveries of furniture items • Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock • Building furniture / preparing and displaying items for sale • Greeting and helping customers - including transporting heavy items to car • Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented.
