Social Media, Customer Service & Till Volunteers Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters Do you enjoy chatting to customers and are happy to be using a till? Do you have some knowledge of Facebook and a keen eye for a good photo? At our delightful Garstang Sue Ryder charity shop we are looking for some more friendly volunteers who could help with customer service and also our social media. Our Social Media, Customer Service & Till Volunteers are the friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work. You will provide in-store support with the shop's social media to increase our visibility to a wider audience whilst actively engaging with our customers on the shop floor / serving at the till. Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18. The Role: • Serving customers on the till (training provided) • Greeting and helping customers • Offering and selling Sue Ryder weekly Lottery tickets. • Photographing items and using these to create engaging posts on social media to promote the charity. • Donations and Gift Aid - meet donors, receive donations, sign donors up to GiftAid • Maintaining shop displays, re-stocking, About you: • Require good numeracy skills • Good knowledge / competent with use of social media • Enjoy helping and engaging with customers • Enthusiastic and pro-active • Ability to work as part of a team • Reliable How you will benefit • Make new friends and become a part of your local community • Be part of a friendly team • Learn new, transferable skills and enhance your CV • Flexible working • Volunteer discount on donated goods • Travel expenses - we are happy to reimburse reasonable travel expenses for a minimum regular commitment.
